Sharon St. George spent an idyllic childhood in a small northern California town, riding horseback and camping with her family in nearby mountains. One of her favorite pastimes was reading fiction. She eventually traded horses for llamas and enjoys hiking in the high mountain wilderness—always with a mystery novel in her backpack.
Her early writing career included advertising copy, feature stories, a history of NASA’s space food project, and three original plays. She developed an interest in hospital-based mysteries after working for several years as Director of Medical Staff Services in an acute care hospital. She holds dual degrees in English and Theatre Arts, and occasionally acts in, or directs, community theater productions.
St. George is member of Sisters in Crime and Mystery Writers of America, and serves as program director for Writers Forum, a nonprofit organization for writers in northern California.
